Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Uzuakoli, Alayi Circuit, has honoured Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji), with a Meritorious Award in recognition of his selfless service, commitment and significant contributions to the advancement of the Gospel of Christ and the Methodist Church in particular.
Dr. Anyaso, who was the Guest of Honour at the event, received the award amid commendations for his commitment to supporting the work of God and contributing positively to the development of society.
Responding after receiving the honour, Dr. Anyaso expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the Methodist Church for the recognition. He described the award as both an honour and a responsibility, assuring the Church that he would remain committed to supporting the advancement of God’s work.
He further pledged that, if elected to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in 2027, he would not fail the Church or disappoint the people of Bende.
“I sincerely appreciate the Methodist Church for this honour. It is a recognition that I do not take for granted. By God’s grace, when I will represent Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, I will not fail the Church, and I will not disappoint Ndi Bende.”
A major highlight of the event was a special prayer session for Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, during which prayers were offered for God’s guidance, protection, wisdom and success in his political aspiration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The occasion further underscored the growing recognition of Dr. Anyaso’s commitment to service, faith and community development, as he continues to articulate his vision of Service, Capacity and Results for Bende Federal Constituency.
Dignitaries that accompanied Dr. Anyaso to the special Church service included the Director General of Dr. Chima Anyaso Campaign Organization, Pastor Okechukwu Dike; Board of Trustee Chairman of Chima Anyaso Foundation,Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha; Dr. N. C. Eke, Mrs. Arisa Okparigbo and many other leaders and political stakeholders.
