Kalu’s Leadership Has United Abia APC, Strengthened Party’s Growth — Abia APC Women Leader

The Abia State Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lady Chino Cecila Erondu, has commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for providing the leadership that has united and strengthened the party in the state.

Speaking with journalists during the visit of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to Abia State, Erondu described Kalu as the undisputed leader of the APC in Abia, saying his inclusive leadership style has eliminated internal divisions and positioned the party for greater success.

According to her, the unity currently enjoyed by the APC in Abia is a direct result of Kalu’s wisdom and commitment to carrying everyone along.

She noted that Kalu’s focus has always been on the welfare and progress of party members, stressing that he does not operate an exclusive leadership style but ensures that everyone benefits from the party’s growth.

“The unity we enjoy today in APC is because of his leadership. If not for him, we would have had factions here and there in the party. Today, we are rejoicing because we have a united party, and APC is progressing because of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu”, she said.

Erondu also expressed appreciation to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for visiting Abia State for the first time, describing the event as successful and giving glory to God for the historic visit.

She lauded the First Lady’s commitment to women empowerment, noting that her assurance that APC women interested in learning Akwete fabric production and other crafts would have the opportunity to do so, which she said would greatly benefit women across the state.

The APC women leader further praised the First Lady’s ₦2 billion support towards boosting Akwete fabric production, saying that the intervention would significantly enhance the local textile industry and create more economic opportunities for women.

Calling for greater unity within the party, Erondu urged APC women in Abia not to be distracted by comments from individuals, insisting that the party remains focused on its goals.

She encouraged members to remain steadfast and work collectively to strengthen the APC ahead of future political engagements, expressing confidence that the party would continue to record greater successes through unity and commitment.
