The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Abia State, Barr Kelechi Anosike, has expressed appreciation to party stalwarts and faithful in Arochukwu Local Government Area for their support and confidence in his emergence as the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming governorship election.
Speaking during a thank-you visit to the local government area on Tuesday, Anosike said he was deeply humbled by the overwhelming goodwill shown to him by party members.
The visit which drew a large crowd of PDP stakeholders, women, youths, elders, and supporters welcomed what many described as the new face of the Abia PDP.
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, the PDP standard-bearer thanked the people of Arochukwu for their steadfast loyalty to the party and for believing in his vision for a greater Abia State. He assured party faithful that their confidence in his leadership would be rewarded through purposeful, transparent, and inclusive governance, adding that every part of the state would benefit from his administration if elected.
Anosike reiterated that his welfarist agenda, which has continued to resonate across Abia State, is focused on improving the lives of ordinary citizens through economic empowerment, quality education, accessible healthcare, infrastructure development, youth engagement, and job creation.
He called on party members to remain united and committed as the PDP prepares for the governorship election, stressing that unity would be key to the party’s success.
Party leaders and stakeholders present at the event praised Anosike’s humility, grassroots approach, and commitment to the ideals of the PDP. They pledged their support for his candidacy and expressed confidence that his emergence has energized the party across the state.
The event ended with renewed calls for unity and a collective resolve to work toward securing victory for the PDP in the forthcoming governorship election.
