Abia Central 2027: Rep Emeka Atuma, The Man Who Came To Give, Not To Take
.
Rep. Emeka Atuma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, has reaffirmed that his quest to clinch the Abia central senatorial seat is born out of his genuine desire to give quality representation to his people and raise their standard of living and not to take away from them.
Rep Atuma stated this while featuring on a live Special interview programme on Family Love 99.9FM.
Speaking on his foray into politics, Rep. Atuma declared that, “Before I joined politics, I was already established. I didn’t join politics to enrich myself. I didn’t join politics for what I will get. I joined politics for what I will give.”
This singular statement captures the essence of his personality and his two-decade political trajectory.
Long before his emergence in 2003, as member that represented Ikwuano/ umuahia federal Constituency, God had established him in business and life. His journey into politics was therefore not driven by personal gain, but by a burning desire to serve his people and deliver quality representation anchored on trust.
According to him, true representation is built on trust. When the people entrust you with their mandate, you must justify that confidence by delivering on their needs, not straying from the primary purpose of your election.
His record is verifiable. Over twenty years ago, he facilitated the employment of many young graduates into the Federal Civil Service. Today, those beneficiaries have risen to the positions of Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors, and are now voluntarily returning with souvenirs and campaign materials to support his senatorial aspiration. This is the true definition of human capital development that brings happiness and joy to the people.
Rep. Atuma further distinguished himself through quality project execution. Unlike those who collect kickbacks from contractors to deliver shabby and substandard jobs, he insists on standardized, high-quality projects. In his words,” you cannot sell a fowl with broken legs to your own people.” His constituency projects, roads and schools built decades ago, are still standing firm today because what is done in sincerity endures, while what is done in deceit collapses within a short time.
As Abia Central approaches 2027, the choice before the people is clear. This is not a season for trial and error. It is a moment to elect an established, trusted and tested leader whose works continue to speak for him long after leaving office.
Abia Central wants Atuma more for sustainable development, and our votes for the Senate are for Kabila 2027.
