Atuma Calls For Peace, Unity, As Muslims Celebrate Eid-el-Maulud
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria and the world as they commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, urging them to uphold the values of peace, unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence.
Atuma, in a message, particularly extended his greetings to Muslim faithful in Abia Central and across Abia State, noting that the celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the exemplary life and enduring teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
According to him, the Prophet’s teachings continue to inspire humanity through values such as peace, compassion, justice, humility, tolerance, brotherhood and selfless service.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to draw lessons from the life of the Prophet at a time when the country requires greater understanding and unity.
Atuma called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation, to embrace tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, describing the nation’s diversity as a source of strength.
He urged citizens to choose dialogue over division and compassion over intolerance, while encouraging the well-to-do to remember and support the less privileged as part of the true spirit of the Maulud celebration.
The APC candidate also prayed for peace in communities across the country, asking Almighty Allah to strengthen the faith of the Muslim Ummah and bless families with good health, prosperity and happiness.
He further prayed for wisdom for Nigeria’s leaders, expressing hope that the nation would continue to move towards a future defined by peace, justice, unity and shared prosperity.
However, Atuma, concluded by wishing the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians the blessings of the sacred occasion, saying, “Barka da Maulud!”
