Abia APC Endorses Nwankpa for National Welfare Officer Ahead Of Party’s Convention

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has endorsed Chief Donatus Nwankpa, as its consensus candidate for the position of National Welfare Officer ahead of the party’s forthcoming National Convention scheduled to take place on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Abuja.

The endorsement was unanimously agreed upon by the State Working Committee (SWC) and the 17 Local Government Area Chairmen during an emergency meeting held at the party’s state secretariat in Umuahia on Monday.

According to the party leaders, the decision to adopt Nwankpa as a consensus candidate followed extensive deliberations on the need for unity and strategic positioning of the state within the party at the national level, citing his long-standing commitment, loyalty, and contributions to the growth and stability of the APC in Abia State and beyond.
