WHO IS REP. EMEKA ATUMA?
Rep. Emeka Atuma is a Nigerian politician, businessman and former member of the Federal House of Representatives who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2007. Before joining partisan politics, he was already a successful and well established businessman with interests in construction, real estate and energy.

– In December 2024, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed him as Chairman, South East Development Commission SEDC in recognition of his capacity and national relevance. In a rare display of sacrifice, love and unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress APC, Rep. Atuma forfeited the appointment to pursue his 2027 Senatorial ambition for Abia Central.
