Rt Hon Emeka Atuma hails from Ntalakwu Oboro in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.
He is a very successful international businessman,a lawyer,an environmentalist and of course,a politician.
He didn’t just show up yesterday. He has been around for a very long time. And by the grace of God,he has excelled in all his endeavors up to this time.
CAPACITY
For over 30 years, Rt Hon Emeka Atuma has excelled in business, engaging in international trade,real estate and construction.
He attained billionaire status a very long time ago: billionaire status attained by hardwork and smart moves in business.
Anyone that is close to him will tell you that for more than three decades,he has shown consistent capacity in the private sector.
Kabila (as he is fondly called) carried that capacity from the private sector into politics.
Rt Hon Emeka Atuma represented the good people of Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007. He showed capacity, excelling as the House Committee Chairman on Environment and Ecological Matters for his entire 4 year tenure.
Two federal agencies namely National Oil Spill Detection and Regulatory Agency ( NOSTDRA) and National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency ( NESREA) came into being as a result of private bills brought to the floor of the house by Atuma.
He showed capacity by attracting numerous projects : roads,schools, ecological interventions and electricity projects to the 3 LGAs thar made up his constituency.
He showed capacity by organizing the first empowerment programme financed by a public office holder in the history of Abia State: 150 motorcycles,21 vehicles,over 500 hairdressing and barbing starter packs and countless trainings and skills acquisition programs.
Remember, this was between 2003 and 2007.
And even after his tenure in the Federal House of Representatives in 2007,he has not stopped showing capacity. From 2007 till date ,he has been attracting and delivering scores of road projects erosion interventions, street lights, school rehabilitation,etc.
His capacity is undeniable,in and out of office. And that capacity will heavily impact Abia Central when Rt Hon Emeka Atuma becomes the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District.
Emeka Atuma is active, energetic, proactive and posseses the ability to transform Abia Central.
No doubt,he will be a Capacity Senator.
CREDIBILITY
Emeka Atuma is honesty and integrity personified. He is straightforward and a firm keeper of agreements. He is a man that does not betray his friends.

The qualities listed above point to one conclusion: Emeka Atuma is highly competent. He posseses the skill set and the required character to transform Abia Central Senatorial District.

Emeka Atuma is not going to the Senate to be a back bencher. He is not going to the Senate as a learner.
He is going to the Senate as a world class negotiator,a man who knows Abuja like the back of his hand.
He knows where to get the projects approved for his Senatorial District. He knows who to call on phone. He has access to whoever is holding the keys.

I have taken a good look at the list of candidates contesting for the seat of Abia Central Senatorial District and I can tell you that Rt Hon Emeka Atuma stands taller than the rest.
