Atuma Felicitates Nigerians on Democracy Day, Calls for Unity and Good Governance

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the June 12 Democracy Day celebration, urging citizens to remain committed to the ideals of democracy, good governance, and national development.

In a Democracy Day message, Atuma extended his warm greetings to the people of Abia Central Senatorial District, Ndi Abia, and Nigerians across the country, describing the occasion as an important moment to reflect on the nation’s democratic journey and honour the sacrifices of those who fought for democratic rule.

He noted that Democracy Day provides an opportunity for Nigerians to recommit themselves to the principles of freedom, justice, equity, and good governance, which he said remain the foundation of a prosperous nation.

While acknowledging the progress made in Nigeria’s democratic development over the years, Atuma stressed that more efforts are needed to ensure that the benefits of democracy reach every citizen. He called for the strengthening of democratic institutions, respect for the rule of law, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

The APC chieftain also encouraged young people to actively participate in the democratic process, expressing confidence that Nigeria’s future depends on the commitment of its citizens to building a better and more inclusive society.

He further urged Nigerians to use the occasion of Democracy Day to renew their faith in the country and work collectively towards achieving peace, security, economic prosperity, and sustainable development.

Reaffirming his commitment to public service, Atuma said he remains dedicated to the vision of a prosperous Abia Central and a greater Nigeria where leadership is driven by accountability, service, and the welfare of the people.
