APC Reschedules Timetable for House of Representatives Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives Primary Election for the 2027 General Elections to Saturday, May 16, 2026.

 

The party disclosed this in a press statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

 

According to the statement, all other previously announced dates for the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, Governorship and Presidential primaries remain unchanged.

 

The APC said the House of Representatives primary earlier scheduled to hold this week would now take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

 

The revised timetable released by the ruling party shows that the Senate Primary Election will hold on Monday, May 18, while the State House of Assembly Primary Election is slated for Wednesday, May 20.

 

The Governorship Primary Election will take place on Thursday, May 21, while the Presidential Primary Election has been fixed for Saturday, May 23, 2026.

 

The party, however, did not state reasons for the postponement of the House of Representatives primary.
