The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated former Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the Abia APC described the appointment as a recognition of Ikpeazu’s experience in public service and his contributions to governance during his tenure as governor of Abia State.
The party noted that the diplomatic role presents another opportunity for the former governor to serve the country and contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Spain.
According to the statement, Ikpeazu’s wealth of administrative experience would be valuable in advancing Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic interests in his new assignment.
The Abia APC expressed optimism that the former governor would bring dedication and professionalism to the role while promoting stronger ties between both nations.
The party also wished him success in the new position and prayed for wisdom and good health as he undertakes the responsibility of representing Nigeria abroad.
