Members of the Abia State Working Committee (SWC), of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday,à paid a courtesy visit to one of the party’s founding fathers, Dr. Chris Akomas, at his country home in Nenu, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
Dr. Akomas, a former Deputy Governor of Abia State and ex-Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC), warmly received the delegation, reflecting on the party’s journey with a sense of nostalgia and renewed hope.
Addressing the committee, the elder statesman commended what he described as the growing unity and stability within the APC in Abia, noting that it provides a solid foundation for future electoral victories. He urged party members to sustain the momentum by remaining disciplined, focused, and committed to the collective goal of repositioning the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Akomas also reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the APC, pledging continued financial support, as well as offering his experience, guidance, and active participation whenever required.
The visit underscored the importance of strengthening ties between the party’s current leadership and its founding members, while reinforcing a shared vision for a more cohesive and formidable APC in Abia State.
