Chukwu Sends New Year Message to Abians, Commends Benjamin Kalu on Efforts to Restore Power in Bende

 

The member representing the South East on the Board of the North West Development Commission (NWDC), Hon Chijioke Chukwu, has extended warm New Year felicitations to the people of Abia State, urging them to remain hopeful and steadfast as the new year unfolds.

 

In his New Year message, Chukwu expressed profound gratitude to God for the successful transition into the new year, describing it as a fresh opportunity filled with promise and renewed expectations.

 

He noted that despite the challenges of the past year, Abians have shown resilience and unity, virtues he said would be crucial for greater progress in the months ahead.

Hon Chukwu expressed optimism that the year would be eventful and rewarding, stressing that the current leadership at the national level is committed to driving development across the country.

 

According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated purposeful and development-driven leadership, which, he said, is already laying the foundation for economic revitalization and national renewal.

 

He also commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Benjamin Kalu, for his leadership qualities and political maturity, noting that his role has brought stability and cohesion to the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abia State. Chukwu described Kalu as a bridge-builder whose inclusive approach continues to strengthen the party and foster unity among stakeholders.

 

The NWDC board member further praised the Deputy Speaker for his swift intervention in addressing the lingering electricity challenge in Bende Local Government Area, disclosing that Rt. Hon Kalu has taken decisive steps to ensure the restoration of power supply in the area, giving assurances that electricity would be restored within one week.

 

Chukwu also emphasized that the restoration of power in Bende would significantly boost economic activities, improve living standards, and ease the hardship faced by residents, especially traders and small business owners who rely heavily on stable electricity.

 

 

He also commended Rt. Hon Kalu for placing food security high on the agenda in Abia State, a commitment evident in the annual large-scale food distribution to the people. He further urged Abians to welcome the new year with confidence and optimism, assuring them that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains resolute in its commitment to revitalizing the nation’s economy and delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

 

In addition, the former Minority Leader of Abia State House of Assembly, said collective support, patience, and cooperation with government policies would accelerate development and position Abia State for sustainable growth in the new year.
