2027: Manage APC Well or Risk Factions, Orji Uzor Kalu Warns Party Leaders
The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, has cautioned leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to effectively manage the affairs of the party to prevent the emergence of factions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kalu who gave the warning during a meeting with leaders of the OUK Movement and Reality Organization at his country home in Igbere, Abia State, called on the State Chairman of the APC, Hon Chijioke Chukwu,to manage the party well.
The former Abia State Governor stressed the importance of inclusive leadership and effective party administration, noting that poor management could create divisions capable of weakening the APC’s chances in future elections.
He urged party leaders at all levels to work together in the interest of unity, emphasizing that no individual should consider themselves bigger than the party or its collective leadership.
Kalu also reflected on his political experience, stating that leadership requires dedication, service and the ability to sustain relationships with the people. He noted that despite leaving office as Governor more than two decades ago, he continues to enjoy widespread recognition because of his contributions while in office.
The senator called on party stakeholders to remain committed to strengthening the APC through unity, discipline and effective grassroots mobilization, as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
