Ben Kalu Receives Commendation Over Massive Infrastructural Revolution In Bende Federal Constituency, As He Commissions Over 30 Projects
The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bende Local Government Area, has showered accolades on the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, for his giant strides in infrastructural and educational development across Bende Federal Constituency.
Speaking with journalists, the APC Chairman, Bende LGA, Chief Okezie Usim, described the Deputy Speaker, as an astute and visionary leader whose projects are driving the constituency and Abia State at large to a sustainable development.
According to Hon Usim, Rt. Hon Kalu’s numerous constituency projects, many of which are set for commissioning, are proofs of his dedication, commitment and service to his constituents.
“Among the landmark projects are the construction and reconstruction of numerous classroom blocks and roads across various communities within Bende LGA to enhance the well-being of the people.
“Other notable developments include the provision of modern conveniences in schools, the construction of new walkways, and extensive renovations of existing structures to create conducive learning environment for pupils and students”.
He disclosed that the projects include; the Construction of new 3 class room blocks with 1 office in Etitiulo primary school Bende, reconstruction of 4 class room blocks and 2 offices in central school Bende, reconstruction of 2 class room blocks with 2 offices in community primary school Bende and the construction of 1km OKputong – Ndiekugo Road.
Also, the Federal Lawmaker would be commissioning the reconstruction of 3 class room blocks with 2 offices in Akpukwa central school Ozuitem, reconstruction of 4 class room blocks and one office with walkway in Onuibina primary school Igbere, the reconstruction of 3 class room blocks in Amato community primary school Igbere, as well as, the reconstruction of 2 class room blocks with 2 offices in Amankalu Alayi primary school.
Notably is the reconstruction of 3 class room blocks with one office in Lohum central school Lohum Imenyi, the reconstruction of 4 class room blocks in Amamba Agbozu community primary school Uzuakoli, reconstruction of 3 class room blocks with 2 offices in central school Ezeukwu, renovation of 3 class room blocks in Akanu community primary school Item; reconstruction of 3 class room blocks with 2 offices in Okoko Item and the reconstruction of Community Primary School, Amaba Ugwueke.
“Reconstruction of 3 class room blocks in Bende Secondary Grammar School, Bende; renovation of 3 classroom block with an office at Enemba primary school, Ozuitem, renovation of 3 classroom blocks with 2 offices at Central School, Bende; renovation of 3 Classroom blocks with an office at Amanta Central School, Ezeukwu, construction of 3 classroom block with an office at Amazu primary school, Ugwueke, construction of 6 class room blocks in Abanta primary school Amaokwe Item, reconstruction of 2 class room blocks in Amaekpu Item primary school Item.
“Construction of 6 class room blocks with 2 offices and conveniences in Girls Secondary school Uzuakoli, reconstruction of 3 class room blocks with 2 offices in community primary school Okopedi Itumbuzo”.
Under road infrastructure, the APC leader stated that the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, constructed the 2km Amaogwu Ndiokoriukwu Road, 1km Amaogwu Etiti- Agbomiri ring road, 1.6km amankalu Alayi- Akazi road, 3.5km Amaokwe – Akanu Road, Item and the construction of 1.9km Ihemba Road Stretching from GKC Junction to Ezeukwu Market with Solar powered streetlights.

Also the construction of 1km Okwu Amuhi road with streetlights; construction of 6 Classroom blocks with Offices and Convenience at Boys Secondary school Uzuakoli, construction of 4 classroom blocks at Ngwu/Amankwo Primary School Uzuakoli, among others.
“These projects not only signify development but reflect Rt. Hon Benjamin Kalu’s deep commitment to the growth and future of Bende Federal Constituency. We are proud of his giant strides and confident that his leadership will continue to yield progress for our people”, Hon Usim stated.
The APC Chairman, however, urged his constituents to continue supporting the Deputy Speaker, noting that such representation is what the progressive people of Bende need to drive home the much sought development.
He added that as the commissioning of these legacy projects draws near, the people of Bende eagerly look forward to the formal unveiling of the infrastructures that promises to change the narrative in Bende Federal Constituency.
