Honourable Minister, Onyejeocha Rallies Support For President Tinubu In S’East
Key Party Leaders, Stakeholders, State, Local government and ward Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC),in Abia North, including the National Welfare Secretary of the party, Chief Donatus Nwankpa, have pledged their unflinching support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and passed a resolute vote of confidence on the Honorable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, PhD, OON.
These resolutions were contained in the communique released after their crucial meeting on the 8th of March, 2025 at Isuochi, Umunneochi in Abia State.
In his speech during the meeting, the National Welfare Secretary of APC, Chief Donatus Nwankpa,expressed his unalloyed support and that of the entire Abia APC for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and reiterated a strong endorsement of Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha’s leadership both as Minister and as a key leader of APC in Abia State. He advised detractors within the party to find common grounds to unify for the greater good of the party, saying that it is more feasible in 2027 for APC to take over Abia State government House. Chief Nwankpa maintained that the party will solidly support all candidates of APC from the lowest office to the Presidency in the forthcoming general elections.
Other leaders, stakeholders and party executives who spoke expressed their implicit confidence in the leadership of Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha. They individually and collectively praised the Honorable Minister’s contributions to national development and in particular, the political growth of APC in Abia by funding several meetings of the party. They emphasised Honorable Onyejeocha’s significant role in stabilising Abia APC which has given rise to thousands of new members joining APC instead of the ruling party in the state.
Finally, they called on detractors of Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, including those described as “agents of darkness,” to cease their campaigns of misinformation, calumny and disruption.
In her reaction, the Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha expressed her gratitude for the party’s continued support. She thanked them for supporting the policies and programs of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assuring them that the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President is already turning things around for the better despite temporary discomfort the nation experienced while Mr. President undertook the difficult but necessary surgery on the nation’s economy. She enjoined them to get young people to key into the LEEP programme of Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda which she initiated under her Ministry.
The Minister reaffirmed her dedication to building a stronger and more fortified Abia APC, capable of winning every elective office in 2027. She reiterated that her focus will remain on the betterment of Abia State and indeed the entire country.
Onyejeocha said that her priority is to contribute immensely to the realisation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. She called on APC faithful to remain steadfast with their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to work extra hard to strengthen the party in Abia State. She also implored them to rally behind the party’s objectives, especially in light of the forthcoming elections in 2027, saying that a united Abia APC with collective action and purpose will be key to future victories for all the candidates of the party.
Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha concluded by asserting that the door remains open for new members to join APC in the State for more support for Mr. President.

V.C Nwankwo (State Legal Adviser), Dr. Felix Obiukwu (State Financial Secretary), Elder Okorie Nzere Nzere (APC Chairman), Mrs. Priscilla Dike (Woman Leader), Engr. Chris Ezenta, Hon. Emeka Okoroafor, and Chief Mrs. Dame Amarachi Dede, Chief Chima Agbaeze and others.
