DG NCAC Endorses 2024 Abia Hospitality Business Conference

The Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Mr Obi Asika, has endorsed the first ever Abia State Hospitality Business Conference and Awards 2024, organized by Oladayco Exquisite Concept and Logistics Ltd, Facilitators of Abia Tour.
The Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC),while receiving the Abia State Chairman of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) and former General Manager, Abia State Tourism Board, Amb. Onyekachi Atuloma-Loveday, in his office, proudly endorsed the Abia Hospitality Business Conference and Awards 2024, with the aim to promote Abia State’s hospitality industry and drive economic growth.
During the meeting, Mr. Asika emphasized that Aba, Abia State, has been identified as a lucrative business environment, dubbed the “Japan of Africa” and therefore, requires maximum publicity and attention to develop. He expressed his willingness to collaborate with business-minded individuals to produce made-in-Nigeria products, increasing business opportunities.
Amb. Atuloma-Loveday, highlighted the need for attention to be given to the art council and tourism sector, requesting the DG’s support for the event.
She introduced the theme, “Raising the Bar: Elevating Abia’s Hospitality Industry through Collaboration and Innovation” and emphasized the conference and awards’ potential to revolutionize the hospitality industry, foster economic growth, and promote Abia State as a prime cultural and tourist destination.
Mr. Asika responded by acknowledging Aba’s exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and expressing his willingness to support any initiative that showcases Aba to the world and noted that arts and culture can enhance economic potential, create employment opportunities for youths and as well, promote national growth.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an official invitation to the DG NCAC as Special Guest of Honor for the event.
The NCAC Deputy Director for Creative Hub, Mrs. Onyeabo, further commended the organizers for successfully projecting Abia onto the national map through Abia Tour.
