Confusion and what seems to be like a power tussle, is currently on going in the  Abia State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), between one Mr Uka Igwe and Mr Ekejiuba Ekpo, over who becomes the General Manager of the Agency.

The Acting General Manager, Mr Uka N Igwe who was appointed by the Governor Dr Alex Otti and Mr Ekejiuba Ekpo who was appointed via a WhatsApp message by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Policies and Interventions Rev.Fr. Christian Anokwuru, are having serious face off, that if not swiftly wade in by the government might result into a chaotic situation.

It was gathered that Mr Uka N Igwe who was appointed in 2023 on Acting capacity has been performing his duties very well, until recently when the Accountant who is a junior officer claimed that he received a text message from Rev.Fr. Anokwuru, directing him to take over the position of Acting General Manager, creating confusion and tension in the Abia CSDA.

The appointment letter of Mr Uka Igwe was dully signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma, while the appointment letter sent to Mr Ekejiuba Ekpo via WhatsApp message was signed by the SA to Governor on Policies and Interventions,Rev Fr Anokwuru.

A staff of the organization who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the workers are now confused and worried by the power play that is on going in that place, stressing that it is not a healthy situation, while pleading with the Governor to resolve the issue before it gets out of hands.
