After 32 Years, Abia Gets New Govt House

After thirty two years of rentage, Abia State commissions its own government house, a feat made possible by the outgoing Governor of the State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.

The project which was initiated by the former Governor of the State and Senator representing Abia Central District, Sen Theodore Orji, saw the light of the day at the winding up of the Gov Ikpeazu’s administration.

New Govt House

The commissioning ceremony which attracted dignitaries across the State and Nigeria, had the Oyo State Governor, Dr Seyi Makinde, the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, among other political bigwigs.

Speaking while commissioning the Project, the Oyo State Governor, Dr Seyi Makinde, extolled Governor Ikpeazu for leaving behind legacies which his adminstration would be remembered for.

Recall that Governor Ikpeazu had vowed that his administration would compete the New Government House project before the end of his tenure.
