Abia PDP Pays Condolence Visit To Adaelu’s Family
The People’s Democratic Party in Abia State,has paid a condolence visit to the Adaelu’s family over the death of their patriarch,Late Elder Emmanuel Onyemaobi Adaelu.
In a release signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Eric Ikwuagwu, stated that the delegation was led by the chairman, Elder Abraham Amah.
According to the Release, PDP Chairman, described the Late Elder Dr. Emmanuel Adaelu, as a “Father General”, as he was considered a father to all and one of the founding fathers of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 1998.
The Party Chairman in extolling the virtues of the Late Elder Statesman, acknowledged his contribution to the development of Abia State and Nigeria in general.
Elder Amah said the Party came to celebrate the life and times of the late Elder statesman who lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation. Amah pointed that the late Adaelu,was an accomplished man who was very successful both in business and as a family man.
“In business, Pa Adaelu was a consummate industrialist, whose wealth was legitimately traced to the industrial sector, while as a family man, he was even more successful as all his children are today very successful personalities in the society and beyond the shores of Nigeria.
“Wealth without useful children is a total waste”, he said.
The PDP chairman, however, acknowledged Hon Solomon Adaelu, as a responsible man, as well as a successful first son of the late sage, which epitomises a successful family.
The State PDP Chairman further assured that the party would be involved in the burial arrangements, instructing that the party’s State Organising Secretary, Hon. Prince Obinna Okey, to work closely with the family to ensure the party is fully integrated in the burial plans.
Meanwhile,Amah hinted that late Pa Adaelu would be given the full complement of a Knight of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with his coffin draped in PDP flag and as part of paying her last respect, the PDP Chairman said a full page obituary publication would be taken in one of the National Newspapers.
In his response, the chief mourner and first son of the deceased, Hon Solomon Adaelu, expressed gratitude to the PDP for their support and pledged to collaborate closely with the party to ensure that his father is laid to rest with the honor and respect befitting a prominent member of the PDP.
The delegation from the Abia PDP included Hon. Chinyere Onuoha (Deputy Chairman), Hon. Peter Nwaokonko (State Secretary), Barr. Chizuru Kalu (Treasurer), Hon. Obinna Okey (Organizing Secretary), Hon. Obinna Nwachukwu (Former Deputy Chairman), as well as, PDP chairmen from Osisioma, Isialangwa North and South, all ward chairmen, LGA EXCOS, and various party stakeholders.
