The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has congratulated Nigerians at home and in the diaspora as the nation celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary, calling for renewed hope, unity and collective commitment to building a better Nigeria.

In a statement marking the anniversary, Dr. Anyaso described Nigeria as a nation of immense human and natural resources, stressing that despite the challenges confronting the country, its greatest strength remains the resilience, creativity and determination of its people.

According to him, Independence Day should not only be a celebration of Nigeria’s journey since independence, but also an opportunity for citizens and leaders to reflect on the country’s progress, acknowledge areas where more work is required and recommit themselves to building a nation where every citizen can have access to opportunity and live with dignity.

Dr. Anyaso said the future of Nigeria must be built around productive citizens, accountable leadership, economic opportunity, quality education, accessible healthcare, youth empowerment, security and infrastructure that supports businesses and communities.

He called on Nigerians, particularly young people, to continue believing in the possibility of a prosperous Nigeria and to contribute positively to the development of their communities.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us. Our challenges may be significant, but our capacity to overcome them is even greater. We must continue to build a country where hard work is rewarded, talent is given opportunity and every citizen can look into the future with confidence.”

The Bende Federal Constituency candidate also emphasised the importance of unity, urging Nigerians to look beyond ethnic, religious, political and other differences and recognise the common aspirations that bind the country together.

He said the development of Nigeria must begin from the communities, noting that effective representation should ultimately translate into tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary citizens.

Dr. Anyaso reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Bende Federal Constituency, promising to continue supporting initiatives that promote education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, youth development and community advancement.

He further expressed optimism that Nigeria’s best years remain ahead, urging citizens not to lose faith in the country’s future.

“As we celebrate 66 years of independence, let us remember that the Nigeria we desire will not be built by government alone. It will be built by all of us, through our choices, our integrity, our hard work and our commitment to one another.”

Dr. Anyaso extended his warmest greetings to Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora, wishing them a peaceful and meaningful Independence celebration.
