The Youth Fellowship of Trinity Methodist Church, Amaeguato Nkpa, has honoured the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji), with the prestigious Ambassador of Christ Award in recognition of his unwavering support for the work of God and his outstanding humanitarian services to humanity, irrespective of religion, tribe, or political affiliation.
Presenting the award, the Presbyter in charge of the church, Very Rev. Ekelozie Obi, described Dr. Anyaso as a true lover of God and humanity whose life reflects compassion, generosity, and selfless service. He prayed for God’s continued guidance and wished him success in his aspiration to represent the people of Bende Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
In his response, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso expressed profound gratitude to the Youth Fellowship and the entire church for the honour bestowed upon him. He attributed every achievement in his life to God’s grace, emphasizing that it is God who makes a person what He desires them to become.
He noted that the true measure of leadership is not the office one occupies but the positive impact made on people’s lives. According to him, his ambition to represent Ndi Bende in the House of Representatives is driven by a genuine desire to serve, not by personal enrichment.
Addressing the youths, Dr. Anyaso encouraged them to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to God. He reminded them that while human beings may fail or disappoint, God remains ever faithful and will never disappoint those who trust in Him.
The event concluded with prayers for Dr. Anyaso, the church, and the continued peace, unity, and progress of Bende Federal Constituency.
Among the dignitaries that accompanied Dr. Anyaso to the church are, the DG of Chima Anyaso Campaign Council, Pastor Okechukwu Dike (Eriwe); the BoT chairman of Chima Anyaso Foundation,Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha, Hon. Chukwuemeka Ogbonna, and many leaders and political stakeholders of Bende Federal Constituency.
