APC Primaries: Igolo South East Seeks Stakeholders’ Backing for Isuikwuato State Constituency Seat
Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State House of Assembly primaries scheduled to hold today, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, aspirant Lilian Chinasa Obenwa has declared her readiness to serve the people of Isuikwuato through purposeful and inclusive representation at the Abia State House of Assembly.
Speaking with journalists ahead of the primaries, Mrs. Obenwa stressed the urgent need for female inclusion in the legislative process, lamenting the absence of women in the current Abia State House of Assembly.
She maintained that her ambition is driven by a long-standing passion to deliver the dividends of democracy to the grassroots and provide effective representation for the people of Isuikwuato.
The APC hopeful called on party faithful across the 20 wards of Isuikwuato Local Government Area to rally behind her candidacy, describing her bid as a movement for fresh ideas, inclusive governance, and people-oriented leadership.
According to her, the time has come for the constituency to embrace a new direction anchored on competence, accessibility, and gender-balanced representation.
Hon. Obenwa will battle for the party’s ticket alongside former Isuikwuato Local Government Chairman Chima Agbaeze and other aspirants.
