8th ABHA: Erondu Celebrates Victory With Special Thanksgiving Service
Describes Mandate as Divine,As Peter Obi's Wave Could Not Stop It....
Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu (Jnr) popularly known as ‘IGODO’ is a crowd-puller any time, any day, anywhere.
He proved just that beyond all doubts on the occasion of his special thanksgiving service at his home church, the United Evangelical Church, Umuaro in Obingwa local government area of Abia State on Sunday, June 25, 2023 as the church’s hitherto serene ambience suddenly witnessed an unprecedented razzmatazz and interminable influx of distinguished personalities from all walks of life, who came to rejoice with him from far and near on his special thanksgiving service to God for his resounding victory in the 2023 election and successful inauguration as the member representing Obingwa West State Constituency in the 8th Abia State House of Assembly.
The church was filled to capacity by the mammoth guests including notable chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), captains of industry, traditional rulers among others.
In his homily, the chairman of Umuaro Area Conference of the United Evangelical Church, Rev. C. C. Nwogwugwu congratulated Hon. Erondu U. Erondu (Jnr) on his victory and inauguration.
He prayed the Almighty God to grant him the wisdom to discharge his duties creditably as well to take Obingwa West State Constituency to greater heights.
He lauded the celebrant for his unparalleled magnanimity and commitment to the welfare of the people, especially the less-privileged and called on other political leaders in the state and the nation at large to emulate him by making God the bedrock of their life and political career if they really want to succeed as well as to give priority attention to the welfare of the people.
In his response, Hon. Erondu U. Erondu Jnr thanked God immensely for His goodness in his life, family and political career.
He also appreciated God for his victory in the 2023 election stressing that it is divine and a reward for his long years of unrelenting service to God and humanity.
According to the renowned politician and consummate philanthropist nothing would have stopped his victory, even, the Peter Obi wave or political tsunami based on his service to the people.
He explained that he has lived all his life serving his people and the state and appreciated them for rewarding him with another privilege of greater service to the people and Abia State.
He thanked members of the PDP for their overwhelming solidarity and absolute confidence in him by giving him the ticket to contest the election as well as the entire people of Obingwa West State Constituency for their profound love and support, which culminated in his landslide victory.
Erondu assured them that he would deliver on all his campaign promises and even do more for them.
He thanked the church for their love and fervent prayers urging them to sustain their prayers for him to succeed.
He promised to provide quality and purposeful representation and make good laws that would impact positively on his constituents as well as attract dividends of democracy to them.
He stated that with him in the saddle that he would not relent in giving his best as the eight law maker to represent Uhie Constituency.
He said that he would sponsor bills that would enhance the lot of the people and bring development to the state.
Hon. Erondu said he would continue to serve God and humanity all the days of his life adding that his election victory would spur him to really do more for the people.
Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr who was the special assistant on special duties to the immediate past governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu appreciated his boss for the wonderful opportunity to serve him and the state.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Allwell Asiforo, the state PDP chairman congratulated Hon. Erondu on his emergence as the member representing Obingwa West State Constituency and prayed God to help him to continue to progress in his political career.
He described him as a special gift to the PDP and expressed confidence that he would perform creditably based on his track-record of performance over the years in all the positions he has held in the state.
Speaking, the immediate past Rector of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, Associate Prof. Hagler Okorie said that Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr has always been a capacity person and a man of the people.
According to the renowned law lecturer at Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU), Erondu has always been with his people and he knows their yearnings as well as how to make them happy.
He expressed confidence that he would deliver and urged the people to support him.
On his part, the member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency, Hon. Sir Lucky Nweke Johnson described his Obingwa West counterpart as a great achiever and legendary pacesetter adding that Erondu is going to do more for the people now that he is on a higher political pedestal.

Hon. Lucky Johnson who is also popular for his staggering philanthropic gestures disclosed that without even occupying any political office or elective position that he has been committed to the welfare of his people in the past fifteen years through scholarship awards to pupils and students, empowerment programmes for youths and women among others stating that his constituents should expect more from him now that they have given him the mandate to represent them at the State House of Assembly.
Renowned business mogul, Hon. Jackson Eke (a.k.a. Arusi Ego described Erondu as his boss and an inimitable philanthropist whose concern to better the lot of the people is legendary.
Speaking, Deacon Orji Chikezirim Nwogu (a.k.a Mor Mor), a legendary political colossus and former zonal chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia South in the state expressed profound gratitude to God for the victory of Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr in the 2023 election.
He described it as well deserved even though he said that their joy is not yet complete until the state governorship candidate of the PDP, Chief Okey Ahiwe and the PDP Senatorial candidate for Abia South and immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu are declared as winners.
The outspoken former APC chieftain described Hon. Erondu as a seasoned political colossus and great achiever who has given a very good account of his stewardship in the various positions he has held in the state right from his tenure as the TC chairman of Obingwa LGA down to his tenure as the personal assistant (PA) to the then Deputy Governor under Chief T. A. Orji’s administration. He said that he also performed very well as the special assistant on special duties to the immediate past governor of Abia State,Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu noting that he would not disappoint the confidence reposed in him.
He prayed that God would give him the wisdom to discharge his legislative functions creditably, bring dividends of democracy and constituency projects to his constituency.

The occasion was a huge success. It attracted the presence of Chief Okey Ahiwe, the state PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election and other notable personalities in the state.
